Hon. Rachelle L. Carnesale

Judge Rachelle Carnesale has served as a Superior Court Judge in Fulton County, Georgia, since her appointment in 2019. Prior to her judicial career, she spent 18 years as a prosecutor, specializing in child abuse and child homicide cases. She has held key leadership positions, including Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit and Director of the Georgia Child Death Investigation Program. Judge Carnesale is also the founder and former chair of the Georgia Infant Safe Sleep Coalition. Her professional achievements encompass significant contributions to child advocacy, leadership within the legal community, and service as Deputy Director of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. She is a respected member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Lawyers Club of Atlanta, St. Thomas More Society, and Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
