Hon. David A. Nesbett

David Nesbett is a judge of the Alaska Third District Superior Court, having been appointed to the position on September 19, 2023, and previously serving as a district court judge since March 21, 2019. He was retained in the 2022 retention election with 59.5% of the vote. Nesbett earned his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University College of Letters and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. His legal career spans roles as a judicial law clerk for U.S. District Judge H. Russel Holland, assistant municipal prosecutor, assistant district attorney, associate at Dorsey & Whitney and Jermain Dunnagan & Owens, shareholder at Nesbett & Nesbett PC, and ultimately a district court judge in Alaska.
