Desjenee Davis

Currently, Desjeneé now serves as a Deputy City Solicitor in the Civil Rights Unit of the Philadelphia Law Department where she represents the City of Philadelphia and its employees in defensive civil litigation matters before the State and Federal Court. In addition to her work with the Law Department, Desjeneé is an Adjunct Professor at Drexel’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law and has been newly named as Kline Law’s Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project Director. She also serves as the Chair of the Black Law Alumni Association of Kline (BLAAK). Additionally, Desjeneé has been named to The Legal Intelligencer’s Young Lawyer Editorial Board. Additionally, she serves as the Secretary for the Girls on a Mission With Ambition non-profit organization, a program geared towards providing resourced to at-risk Black and Brown girls ranging from ages 8-18 in the Elizabeth, NJ area. Desjeneé continues to give back to and motivate the young community through her role as a Mock Trial Coach for the Philadelphia Academy Charter High School Mock Trial team and Mentor for Drexel’s Stephen and Sandra Sheller Diversity Pipeline Program, a program that strives to advance diversity and inclusion in the legal profession via free workshops, classes, and networking programs to underrepresented undergraduate students. Through her various platforms, Desjeneé continues to motivate and emphasize the need for and importance of black women in the law field.
