Brians experience in these matters includes assisting in the development of the overall case strategy and working on all facets of pretrial litigation, including drafting pre-answer motions to dismiss, leading company discovery efforts (e.g., drafting discovery requests, responding to written discovery, managing large-scale document productions, developing experts, preparing witnesses for deposition, and taking fact witness depositions), and drafting motions for summary judgment. For example, Brian was the lead drafter of the successful motion for summary judgment in the above-referenced coverage matter, obligating the insurer to advance defense costs to the client as incurred in the underlying antitrust actions up to $15 million. Prior to joining the firm, Brian served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Stephanie A. Gallagher of the U. S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
