David H. Lawrence

David is a skilled and experienced trial lawyer who focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. The breadth of David’s experience includes disputes concerning business issues, contracts, partnerships, intellectual property, real estate, eminent domain, construction, securities, employment, other business-related disputes and select family law matters. David is a natural problem solver. His clients turn to him regularly to help them resolve their most important legal issues and frequently commend him for his keen attention to detail, responsiveness and creativity.David has spent his entire legal career in Austin. Before co-founding Rigby Slack, David practiced for thirteen years with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP and as a shareholder with Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. David graduated with honors from both the University of Texas McCombs School of Business with a BBA in Finance (1999) and from The University of Texas School of Law (2003). During law school, David served as a judicial intern to the late Justice Mack Kidd of the Texas Third Court of Appeals and attended a semester at University College London. David is happiest in the mountains or on the beach with his wife and two children. He is an avid fan of live improvisational music and Texas Longhorn football.
