About
Ani Megerdichian is a litigation supervising attorney with JT Legal Group. She focuses her practice on representing individuals in catastrophic personal injury, traumatic brain injury, and wrongful death cases. Prior to fully committing her career in advocacy to plaintiff side litigation, Ani explored a legal career in the insurance defense arena. During that time, she was tasked with representing and advising multinational corporations such as Chubb Insurance and Cincinnati Insurance in the defense of large-scale employment and products liability claims and lawsuits, and gained a keen insight into how the defense bar handles claims and litigation, studied the insurance industrys methods and techniques for minimizing and denying claims and defending lawsuits, and developed lasting connections with several prominent defense counsel - all of which is beneficial to her plaintiff clients whose interests are often opposed by those very same insurance carriers. Ani also has significant experience handling pre-trial litigation, trial, and arbitration matters to completion. Some of the notable actions Ani has handled include obtaining $6.25 million dollar settlement for her clients in a wrongful death lawsuit against a major commercial interstate transportation company, and a $2.5 million recovery against an at-fault party whose liability limits were set at $250,000. In the latter case, it was Anis effective use of calculated discovery and negotiation tactics throughout the litigation process that resulted in a recovery for the client in a sum 10 times what the at-fault partys limits of liability insurance provided, without personal contribution from the at-fault driver. Ani has extensive knowledge of first-party and third-party insurance bad faith, which enables Ani to uncover and fairly exploit alternative theories of recovery for her clients. While earning her law degree at Loyola Law School, Ani interned for the Los Angeles Superior Courts unlawful detainer self-help clinic, assisting low-income clients in the defense of unlawful detainer lawsuits. Ani became a licensed attorney in California in December of 2016. In her spare time, Ani enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
