Peter Oliver Bruntrager

Peter Oliver is a partner in the firms Construction Law Department, where he focuses his practice on insurance defense, contract actions, design defect, professional malpractice, construction defect, professional liability, and products liability. Prior to joining Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas in 2016, Peter worked at regional law firms where he litigated a broad range of insurance defense matters, including construction defect claims, insurance coverage, products liability, and personal injury actions. His experience extends to the defense of civil rights and Tort Claim Act matters, contract disputes, and other matters involving municipal land use law. Following his law studies at Seton Hall University School of Law, Peter clerked for Hon. Richard W. English, J. S. C. in the Monmouth County Superior Court, Chancery Division, where he received his certification as a court mediator. Prior to attending law school, Peter worked as a Senior Specialist at Merrill Lynch. His sound background in finance has informed his ability to negotiate settlements and to litigate complex construction matters. Deeply involved in the legal education of construction professionals, Peter has served as a Guest Lecturer on Legal & Professional Issues for the New Jersey Engineer at Rutgers Universitys School of Engineering since 2018.
