Nicholas Flores

Attorney Nicholas Flores is an associate at SWMW Law. He joined the firm in 2023, focusing his practice on helping individuals and families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases.In his role at SWMW Law, Nicholas works alongside other team members in the firm’s Liens Department, where he utilizes his wealth of experience to assist clients in resolving and negotiating third-party liens that are assessed against their financial settlements.Throughout his legal career, Nicholas has cultivated a keen understanding of the law and a true appreciation for what it takes to provide clients with the best representation possible. He also interned with the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he conducted probable cause hearings for asset forfeiture cases, represented the state in bench trials, and assisted in the misdemeanor courtroom.Upon graduation, he worked as in-house counsel for a health data technology company. From there, he transitioned into a government role within the Transportation Section of the Missouri Department of Revenue. In this role, he served as an Administrative Hearing Officer, where he was assigned 14 counties throughout Missouri and represented the Department in circuit court bench trials. He also provided legal advice to Department personnel, conducted legal research and writing, and provided training and mentorship to junior attorneys.Outside of the firm, Nicholas enjoys playing guitar and writing music.AwardsPro Bono Service Award – Southern Illinois University School of Law
