ABOUT ANN DANFORTH Ann Danforth brings more than 30 years of experience to her local government clients. Although her special focus has been on land use matters, she has also worked extensively on public works projects, consultant and other contracts, government claims, personnel matters and, of course, Public Records Act and the Brown Act issues. Ms. Danforth has also represented cities in writ matters at both the trial and appellate level. Ms. Danforth currently serves as General Counsel for the Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District, Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Corte Madera, and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Belvedere. RELATED EXPERIENCE Ms. Danforth served as Town Attorney for the Town of Tiburon from 1996 to 2015. After that time, Ms. Danforth served as a public hearing officer for the City of Fremont, special counsel to the City of Sonoma and contract counsel for the City of Berkeley. Before serving as Tiburons Town Attorney, Ms. Danforth was an associate attorney in the Land Use and Local Government Group of McCutchen, Doyle Brown and Enersen and a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Jose.
