Heather Bell

Heather R. Bell Managing Member Heathers practice focuses on probate, guardianship, and trust litigation, as well as estate planning. Her goal is to provide a light for family members during highly emotional family disputes. Heathers litigation experience has simultaneously equipped her to craft custom-tailored, comprehensive, and holistic estate plans to protect her clients assets and prevent contentious disputes. She is detail-oriented, empathetic and a fiercely loyal advocate who has a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. The matters we deal with produce strenuous emotions. During her time at conventionally structured law firms, Heather saw that clients were treated as billable hours rather than people seeking guidance to resolve an unfamiliar and often overwhelming situation. Realizing many conventional firms continue clinging to outdated practices and refuse to evolve, Heather started Bell Probate Law to provide a new experience for her clients that focuses on people, not profit. She understands that clients do not just come to her for legal advice—they count on her to provide peace of mind, emotional support, and reassurance. Heather graduated magna cum laude in 2013 with a bachelors degree in Criminology and a minor in Music from the University of Texas at Dallas. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Baylor University School of Law in 2016 with a Concentration in Estate Planning. Highly active in the legal community, Heather serves on the Council of the Dallas Bar Associations (DBA) Probate, Trusts & Estates Section, and also serves as a Co-Chair of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) Elder Law Committee. Additionally, as the Program Chair, she spearheaded the first and second annual North Texas Probate Bench Bar, and also assisted the Hon. Ingrid Warren in facilitating the first DBA Probate Summer School series. She completed the 2017 DAYL Leadership Class and is currently participating in the 2020-2021 Texas State Bars Real Estate, Probate, & Trust Law Leadership Academy.
