Michael R. Abbott

Michael R. Abbott is a partner in the firms Philadelphia office. He focuses his practice primarily on the defense of medical, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as healthcare institutions and contract research organizations involved in personal injury and financial loss claims. As such, he has represented a variety of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers across the country, as well as in Europe. Additionally, his practice areas also include medical malpractice, insurance coverage, professional liability & licensure, fidelity and surety law, construction defect and construction-related injuries, product liability, food contamination, complex general & premises liability and motor vehicle. Mr. Abbott is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Delaware State Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute. He was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2015, 2016 and 2017 for Civil Litigation Defense. Mr. Abbott is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, as well as the U. S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the U. S. District Court for the District of Delaware. He graduated with High Honors from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002 with a B. S. in Finance. He received his J.
