James Michael Menna

About James M. Menna Attorney at Law From a very young age, James Menna was fascinated with the history of our Nation and the laws that make it great. Born and raised in the Downriver suburbs of South Detroit, he grew up in a family entrenched in law enforcement. Pursuing his passion as a career, James attended Wayne State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree majoring in criminal justice. After serving as a law enforcement officer for a number of years, James determined that the real way for him to make a difference was to help people understand the intricacies of the law through legal representation. He returned to Wayne State to pursue a degree in law, graduating in 2001. Like many, James began his legal career as a clerk with a large law firm. Several years later, armed with an entrepreneurial spirit and six clients, James started his own law practice in 2003. Through the respect of his peers, gracious referrals from past clients and an extraordinary reputation, James' legal practice continues to grow. James has great respect for the Downriver community where he was born and raised, keeping involved as a Riverview resident. A dedicated husband and father, James wears a multitude of hats as baseball and football coach, sports and band booster, active boat club member and volunteer with various charitable organizations. Professionally, James is a member of the Metro Detroit Bar Association, Downriver Bar Association, Criminal Defense Association of Michigan and member of the 33rd Sobriety Program.
