Hunt is a Senior Associate with The Allen Law Group and focuses her practice on litigation in state, federal and administrative courts. Ms. Hunt has handled cases in and argued before the Michigan Court of Appeals and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Hunt currently manages all aspects of civil litigation and brings extensive litigation experience in handling matters involving municipal law, employment law, tax enforcement, banking, commercial litigation, and real property. Ms. Hunt routinely defends against lawsuits involving contractual and constitutional claims. She has served as lead counsel in federal district and state courts in the representation of municipalities in disputes concerning the Freedom of Information Act and certain constitutional protections enforced by 42 USC § 1983. Ms. Hunts practice includes high profile litigation involving elected officials and representing local school districts with employment and pension matters. She has managed litigation matters and projects on behalf of the Detroit Building Authority, Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority, Detroit Public Schools Community District, the City of Detroit and DTE Energy, among others. Prior to joining the Allen Law Group, PC, she represented the Oakland and Wayne County Treasurers office with tax collection issues. Ms. Hunt is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School. During law school, Ms. Hunt interned with the Wayne County Prosecutors Office and prosecuted misdemeanor cases. While in law school, she also served as a chair of multiple committees of the Black Law Students Association.
