Andrew Soven has more than 25 years of experience resolving complex legal matters and guiding clients through strategic counsel. His extensive practice spans a diverse range of areas, including financial services litigation, banking compliance, enforcement of remedies in connection with secured debt, federal receiverships and closely held business disputes. Throughout his career, Andrew has represented leading banks and finance companies in high-stakes class actions across the United States. His litigation prowess encompasses significant cases involving all aspects of financial services, including loan servicing, finance law, cryptocurrency, overdraft fee litigation and other critical aspects of financial institution law. His comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks such as the Uniform Commercial Code (Articles 3, 4, 4A and 9), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), as well as a myriad of community banking issues and risks, underscores his deep legal insight and permits him to counsel financial institutions of all sizes both in and outside of litigation. In addition, Andrew co-managed and organized a compliance project of unprecedented scope involving the creation and organization of internal controls across multiple business lines to ensure compliance with state law. Beyond his legal practice, Andrew was an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School for more than ten years and also served for six years as a hearing officer for the Pennsylvania Attorney Disciplinary Board. Committed to community service, Andrew currently serves on the board of Clarifi, a leading nonprofit in Philadelphia dedicated to financial empowerment and housing counseling.
