Joseph Theodore Horras

Joseph T. Horras – Attorney at Law and trial lawyer with offices based in Boise, Idaho. During law school Mr. Horras completed an externship with the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office and subsequently represented needy clients in a wide variety of cases through the University of Idaho General Clinic. Upon admission to Idaho State Bar, he accepted a position with the Elmore County Public Defender’s Office. Mr. Horras entered private practice in the Fall of 2005 accepting a position with a Boise firm specializing in defense of law enforcement and civil litigation. In March of 2009 Mr. Horras joined Smith Horras, P.A. as a Shareholder. Mr. Horras regularly represents criminal defendants in Idaho State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. Mr. Horras is committed to providing the highest quality of representation to the individual where the opposition relies on favorable legislation and is armed with superior financial and legal resources. To this end his specialties include criminal defense, personal injury, worker’s compensation, employment discrimination and wrongful termination cases. He is a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Horras enjoys jogging and college football as well as spending time with his wife, Danielle, sons, Maxwell and Dawson, and springer spaniel, Django. Mr. Horras is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Idaho as well as the United States District Court for the District of Idaho and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
