Dan Alan Akenhead

Dan joined Miller Stratvert P. A. in 2011. He is a Director of the firm. Dans primary area of practice is health law. He represents healthcare entities and providers in a wide range of litigation and non-litigation matters. Dan advises providers on issues related to peer review, clinical privileges, NPDB reporting, and actions initiated by medical boards. He reviews and negotiates healthcare contracts, including physician employment agreements, and litigates healthcare cases involving contracts and business disputes. Dan advises hospitals, medical staffs, and medical groups in similar matters. He has drafted medical staff bylaws and advised healthcare entities on questions of regulatory compliance. Dan handles cases in the areas of guardianship and conservatorship as well. He is familiar with how to appoint guardians and conservators for individuals who lack capacity and who may be at an increased risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
