Kwame L. Townes

Attorney Kwame Lateef Townes is a dedicated trial lawyer who focuses on fighting for those individuals and families dealing serious and catastrophic injuries, including injuries causing the death of a loved one. Attorney Townes handles automobile and trucking accident cases as well as medical malpractice and other injury cases. He has worked tirelessly, over the years, resolving and litigating cases, including complex contract, real estate issues, and family law matters, while recovering millions of dollars on behalf of his clients. Attorney Townes has successfully mediated and arbitrated numerous civil cases and has not only won appeals, but also successfully defended appeals on behalf of his clients. He practices before all of the courts in Georgia and Alabama, including the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Townes has been fighting for families since 1999. He earned his Juris Doctor (J. D.) from Howard University School of Law, in Washington, DC and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management/Accounting from Morehouse College. Mr. Townes is a member of the American Association for Justice, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Gate City Bar Association, Magic City Bar Association, and a proud supporter and member of the Georgia Association for Black Women Attorneys. Mr. Townes is an active member of the community and an active member with his church, where he serves on the Board of Deacons. He resides with his wife, Karyn, his children, Kamryn, Kyndal, and Kalil, and their dog, Kingsley. He is a devoted husband, father, and friend.
