Matthew Gilbert

Overview Allen Gilbert is Glaser Weils chief operating officer and a partner in the Firm. Prior to joining the Firm, Allen served as the executive vice president and director of motion picture exhibitor Metropolitan Theatres Corporation. At the same time, he acted as chief executive officer and chairman of Metropolitan Provisions, a food service distribution company with $500 million in annual sales. Allen was also a founding partner in Million Dollar Video Corporation, which produced and distributed Spanish-language movies around the world. Allen graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and practiced at a Los Angeles boutique law firm before shifting his career to focus on business. He is also a licensed real estate broker and has extensive residential and commercial real estate development experience. Allen is a member and past chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of Young Presidents Organization, a global organization of business leaders.
