Upon passing, Corey joined the Maddox & Gerock, P.C. team to ensure family law was his sole legal focus...Corey began working in the family law field during his first year at law school and continued to work as a family law legal assistant until he passed the bar. Upon passing, Corey joined the Maddox & Gerock, P.C. team to ensure family law was his sole legal focus. As part of the Maddox & Gerock team, Corey assists on all aspects of family law cases to include divorce, custody and visitation, spousal and child support, equitable distribution, protective order matters, contempt and other post-divorce issues such as modification of prior orders.Corey obtained his Juris Doctor from The George Mason University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Virginia. After starting his first family law internship, Corey realized how much he enjoyed working in the area of family law. Prior to law school, Corey obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. Corey is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Corey lives in Fairfax with his wife, Imani and their child, Aydin. Corey loves to read, watch movies, and hold family game night. Corey is a big football fan. However, since his favorite team is the Cleveland Browns, he usually does not have much to talk about when it comes to the subject.More
