About
Richard J. Valle MEMBERSHIPSAppellate Practice Section, State Bar of New Mexico (Director, 1997-2003)New Mexico Medical Review Commission Albuquerque Bar Association New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, State Bar of New Mexico (Quadrant Director, 1995-1997)Biography Rich Valle is a fighter who cares tremendously about changing bad situations and helping people who are often marginalized and at an economic disadvantage. There are people who find themselves or someone they care about being taken advantage of. They dont know what to do and I help them claw back, Rich said. Rich graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1991 and joined the firm in August 2006 after several years of practice as a defense attorney. Richs primary practice areas include insurance bad faith, product liability, and medical malpractice. Throughout his career as an attorney, Rich has learned that there are very few true accidents-decisions made by corporations are calculated, purposeful, and push the envelope, often to the detriment of others. As a result, Rich focuses on finding the whys when he takes a case. The people who tend to be victims of medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, and neglect are on the lower end of the economic scale. They dont get treated with the same dignity that others are treated with, he said. Many of these marginalized people arent in a position to rock the boat, and corporations know this and count on it. Rich has a heart for helping others get the justice they deserve. Admittingly he is stubborn-which is part of what makes him a successful attorney. In addition to his passion for helping others, Rich is excellent at remembering the law and applying those precedents to his cases. He has a vast understanding based on his experience of the tactics used by insurance companies and other corporations and has built strategies to beat them at their own game. Were all responsible for where we live and for making the world a better place for all of our kids, Rich said. I wouldnt be where I am in my life if other people hadnt looked out for me.
