I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska. I earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with minors in philosophy, history, and political science. In my off-time, I coached and judged high school policy debate. I graduated in 1998, moved to Minnesota, and started work at Allina Health Systems as their Conference Center Coordinator. I was accepted by William Mitchell College of Law in 2000, began working as a law clerk for Meshbesher & Associates in 2001, and graduated with my JD in 2003. I have been practicing here ever since. Since joining this firm as an associate, I have handled and assisted hundreds of criminal cases across the entire spectrum of the law—from traffic tickets to homicides in state and federal court—in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, and Kansas at the trial court and appellate court levels.
