Christopher Harne

Chris graduated from Emory University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Italian. He went on to study at Mercer Universitys Walter F. George School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate and graduated Cum Laude. Chris was a member of the law review at Mercer, and competed on a moot court team that reached the semifinals of a national civil rights competition while earning the Best Brief Award. He was also named a National Member of The Order of Barristers, and earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing. Following law school, Chris began his legal practice with an established firm in Orlando, where he focused primarily on liability defense. Through the years he has expanded his practice to encompass multiple facets of civil and commercial litigation, including contract and business disputes, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, defamation, insurance claims, and employment litigation. Most recently, Chris owned and operated his own firm in Orlando where he was able to further diversify his practice. He helps small business owners navigate the legal requirements associated with the establishment and operation of their entities, including preparation of governing documents, risk management, best practices, employment matters, and company meetings. His focus is to employ creative strategies to achieve the best outcomes for his clients, while protecting them from unnecessary risks. Chris is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He has been published in the Florida Bar Journal and the Mercer Law Review.
