Jason Perkins

Overview Jason Perkins is a commercial and construction litigator with particular experience in banking litigation, business litigation, and construction litigation. He has extensive experience representing financial institutions in lender liability litigation. He also has extensive experience representing clients in construction disputes, including acceleration claims, delay claims, defective products, mold, and water intrusion. His engagements have involved single-family homes, condominiums, convention centers, highways, hotels, tactical training centers, and sports arenas. Jason also has significant experience in product liability law, creditor/debtor law, and complex litigation, including class action litigation and multidistrict litigation. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, product manufacturers, homebuilders, landlords, tenants, banks, and other financial institutions. In a first impression ruling, the First District Court of Appeal held that section 737.3471, Florida Statutes, bars common law remedies for equitable lien and unjust enrichment against construction lenders.
