Matthew Whittaker is an experienced litigator at Michaelson Law, specializing in contested business and estate matters. With a decade of legal practice, he has represented individuals and businesses in a wide range of disputes, including business litigation, real estate litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy. Matthews comprehensive litigation background allows him to skillfully handle lawsuits from start to finish, offering strategic and tailored solutions for his clients. Matthew began his legal career clerking in the Appellate Unit of the Clark County District Attorneys Office, where he drafted extensive appellate briefs for cases ranging from minor offenses to complex death penalty matters. This formative experience honed his research and writing skills and provided him with a solid foundation for navigating intricate legal issues. A proud Nevada native, Matthew has spent most of his life in the state. His family settled in Las Vegas after moving from Sparks when he was two years old. Matthew earned his bachelors degree in economics with a minor in political science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 2010. He returned to Nevada to attend the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Since entering private practice, Matthew has developed a reputation for his ability to dissect complex legal challenges and deliver practical, effective solutions.
