Sean Keenan

ABOUT Sean Keenan is an experienced partner at Cruser Mitchell with over 20 years of trial and appellate experience in state and federal court. Sean specializes in employment, E&O, D&O, and complex torts and products liability. Before joining Cruser Mitchell, Sean worked as a staff attorney at the U. S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, gaining invaluable experience processing hundreds of appeals and presenting motions to the Court. Seans practice includes representing employers in matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation under federal and state law, including Title VII, 1981, ADEA, ADA and the FMLA, among others. Sean also handles wage and hour claims under the FLSA, as well as whistleblower claims in front of government agencies such as OSHA, HUD and the NLRB. In addition to his defense practice, Sean provides proactive and practical legal advice, training, and guidance to employers regarding all aspects of the employer-employee relationship. Sean also represents community association clients-homeowners associations, condominiums, large subdivisions and mixed-used developments-in cases involving corporate governance, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, covenant enforcement, easement disputes, zoning and the Fair Housing Act. Finally, Sean handles catastrophic injuries and complex product liability cases involving a broad range of commercial and consumer products, including vehicles, chemicals and cosmetics, medical and mechanical equipment, and tools. Sean frequently represents his clients in other jurisdictions and brings in-depth practical legal expertise to complicated legal problems, enabling effective risk evaluation and innovative solutions for his clients.
