Biography For over 25 years, Brian has concentrated his practice in medical litigation, airline/airport litigation, personal injury, insurance defense litigation and appellate work. Brian provides litigation support to healthcare organizations and physicians in all areas of professional and general liability including health law, premises liability and nursing home defense. He often lectures to physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals and hospital administration to educate them on the legal process. Brian grew up in Norfolk, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in German, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1998 from the University of Miami, where he graduated cum laude. Brian joined Hall, Schieffelin and Smith, P. A. in 1998 and was named shareholder in 2003.
