Melissa began her practice at a Portland-area defense firm with a focus on representing hospitals, physicians, nurses, veterinarians and other lawyers in litigation matters and before professional licensing boards, as well as representation of a local school district. She joined Lindsay Hart, LLP in 2017. Melissa was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and is licensed to practice law in Oregon, Washington, and Illinois. She is a Triple Illini. She obtained her Bachelors summa cum laude in Art History and Jewish Studies and her Masters in Art History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She graduated cum laude with her J. D. from the University of Illinois College of Law with a Pro Bono notation award. Melissa is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, Oregon Women Lawyers, Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, and the Chicago Bar Association. Melissa and her husband moved to Oregon in the fall of 2013 and have enjoyed exploring everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She spends her time outside of the office hiking, gardening, and traveling. Melissa is a marathon runner and loves to explore the Pacific Northwest through road and trail races.
