About A competitive spirit - both in and on the court Chris Parker has been with the firm since 2010, after graduating from Willamette University College of Law. Since that time Chris has earned a reputation as a sharp, highly competent attorney with a track record of tackling complex legal issues and resolving cases early and efficiently. His clients appreciate his responsiveness to questions and his tendency to think outside the box. Chris, a former basketball player, is a natural competitor who handles a variety of complex and challenging cases on behalf of firm clients. Before joining the firm, Chris clerked for Davison Van Cleve, P. C., focusing on energy law and regulatory issues for large industrial clients. In his free time Chris enjoys spending time on the Oregon coast with his wife, watching college football, playing golf, and reading science fiction novels. In that case, Davis Rothwells clients, owners/founders of a non-profit wildlife sanctuary, were deemed not liable for a workplace fatality in which the plaintiff estate was seeking damages in excess of $6 million. On appeal, the Oregon Court of Appeals affirmed the judgment in favor of the defendants, holding that Dan and Chris had successfully proven that Oregons workers compensation exclusive remedy statutes applied to defeat the plaintiff estates claims.
