Ross Elliott

Ross Elliott is a partner at Rogers & Elliott who represents clients in real estate, general contract and tort litigation, as well as family law and probate matters. Mr. Elliott is a trained mediator who also has successfully handled civil and criminal appellate matters throughout Texas. Mr. Elliotts work in real estate disputes includes every aspect of the listing and sale process for both buyers, sellers, and the agents representing them. His expertise allows Mr. Elliott to appreciate the finer points of the real estate business in Texas, both as a practical matter and as a profession regulated by the occupations code. In addition, he has experience drafting, filing, and perfecting materialmens liens under the property code. Such liens are often problematic for tradesmen, with numerous pitfalls for the unwary. Mr. Elliott understands that a downloaded contract and lien form offers less than no protection and can increase an individuals legal liability. Mr. Elliott provides extensive experience in error preservation and preparing matters for appeal at the trial level, including research, drafting, briefing, and oral arguments in all types of cases.
