Mark Alan Wortman

Mark A. Wortman is a Missouri family law attorney who handles only divorce and family law matters within the state. Due to this specialty, Mark Wortman has handled thousands of Missouri divorce and family cases and has practiced extensively in front of every judge in Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Cass counties. He knows the law, he knows the court system inside and out, and he has experience dealing with most of the attorneys practicing in this area. This level of experience and expertise is invaluable in achieving results for his clients. Mark is a native of Missouri, born and raised in the Ozarks. He graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield and went on to earn an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the School of Business Administration at Missouri State University in Springfield. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City school of Law. Immediately after graduating from law school, Mark worked as in house counsel for a large international professional services consulting firm serving corporate clients through the world on a multitude of tax and legal issues. With a desire to work more directly with real clients on personal legal issues, Mark entered private practice and subsequently opened the law firm of Mark A. Wortman, LC in Kansas City, Missouri. Mark Wortman is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Missouri Bar Family law committee, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association section of Family Law.
