David S. Ballard is the managing partner for Ballard Law Office. A seasoned litigator and trial attorney, David represents adults and juveniles facing felony and misdemeanor criminal charges (including DUI) and individuals suffering serious personal injury as a result of others negligence. David also handles high-asset divorce cases and represents select creditors in bankruptcy litigation. A Fayette County native, David graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2007 with bachelors degrees in history and political science and a masters degree in public administration. In 2011, David graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, David served on the editorial and executive boards of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and led the schools honor court. He also was named UGAs most outstanding moot court board member for 2011 and won the William King Meadow Award, presented by the faculty and graduating class annually to the graduate who best exemplifies integrity, responsibility, the high standards of the legal profession, and a keen sense of humor necessary to afford a proper human perspective to the resolution of legal problems. Since joining the Georgia Bar, David has handled scores of cases in municipal, state and federal courts throughout Georgia, including countless contested hearings and several jury trials. David has also scored victories in Georgia and federal appellate courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He has helped hundreds of clients find creative and effective solutions to their legal problems. For David, practicing law is more than just a job; it is a calling. David takes great pleasure in helping people during their time of need. Davids goal in every case is to achieve the best possible result for his client that the facts and law allow. He also strives to keep his clients informed about the progress of their case and to be a good steward of their financial resources. David holds an AV-Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating a lawyer can receive for legal ability and ethical conduct. He is also rated Superb by AVVO and has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the past six years. David is a proud member of the Peachtree City Rotary Club and is a former President of the Fayette County Bar Association. He is also an adjunct professor at Georgia Military College in Fayetteville. David, his wife, and children reside in Fayette County and attend New Vision Church.
