Gwyndolyn Styarfyr

Gwyndolyn L. Styarfyr is a partner at Arneson, Stewart & Styarfyr, PC. Dividing her practice between juvenile matters and family law, she represents clients in Douglas County and throughout the state of Oregon from the firms offices in Roseburg. Ms. Styarfyr has been admitted to practice before all Oregon state courts since 2016. Ms. Styarfyrs family law client base is made up primarily of people whose marriages have broken down and who are now going through a divorce and thus dealing with such issues as spousal and child support, child custody and visitation, and the division of marital assets and financial obligations. In many cases, she is able to help them come to an accord on some or all of these matters through mediation or negotiations, but when litigation has proven to be necessary, she is a forceful courtroom advocate on their behalf. Ms. Styarfyr also practices in the law of adoptions. Her adoption practice is primarily made up of neglect and abandonment cases. She also does step parent, second parent, and other non-contested adoptions. She enjoys helping families navigate the complex intricacies of the adoption system and interplay between agencies. Ms. Styarfyrs professional affiliations include the Douglas County Bar Association, Douglas County Juvenile Bar, and the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from the University of Oregon and a Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School.
