Kimberly Mills Kuhn opened her private law practice in 2012 after 6 years ofexperience in criminal litigation with the Public Defenders office in Broward,Pasco and Pinellas counties, and two years of experience in civil and criminalappeals at the Third District Court of Appeals. There and in her current practice,she has worked diligently and passionately to defend clients accused ofmisdemeanor, DUI, and felony crimes. Kimberly also has extensive experience handling community violence injunctions, representing both petitioners and respondents. Committed to justice and rehabilitation, Kimberly also assists individuals in clearing their records by facilitating the expungement or sealing of prior arrests. She provides this service pro bono to survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence whose charges stem directly from their experiences of abuse. In addition to her legal practice, Kimberly is an instructor at St. Petersburg College Allstate Center Police Academy, where she educates future law enforcement officers on the legal aspects of policing. Since May 2023, Kimberly has served as Assistant General Counsel for the Fraternal Order of Police, acting as a Critical Incident Response Attorney and providing legal representation to law enforcement officers involved in on duty, shootings or accidents involving death or serious injury. A Florida native, Kimberly attended The University of Florida, obtaining a major in Political Science and a minor in Criminology. She continued to pursue theseinterests at St. Thomas University, College of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida. During her time at St. Thomas University College of Law, she worked as an intern inthe Florida Office of the Attorney General, serving in both the Civil Litigation and Criminal Appeals departments. Kimberly also secured a prestigious internship atthe Third District Court of Appeals with Chief Judge David Gersten. Her hard workearned her a full-time position at the 3rd District Court of Appeals upongraduation. At the 3rd District Court of Appeals, Kimberly worked on civil andcriminal cases sparking a keen interest in criminal related matters. Moving on towork as an attorney for the Public Defenders Office in Broward, Pasco, and Pinellascounties, she was able to follow her passion for criminal cases and the thoroughdefense of those charged with crimes.
