Dawn Marie White

Dawn Marie White is an experienced attorney at Emswiller, Williams, Noland & Clarke, LLC where she focuses her practice on family law, criminal law, juvenile law matters including delinquencies and CHINS or DCS/CPS actions, and appellate work. She understands that when someone needs an attorney, they are usually confronting issues that will impact the most important areas of their lives. Her background in the social work field has honed her interpersonal skills allowing her to be a precise communicator, listener, and advocate. She empathetically and effectively represents clients throughout Indiana in divorce, paternity, child custody (including high conflict issues), parenting time, modifications, relocations, post-decree enforcement or contempt actions, guardianships, adoptions, grandparent visitation, and protective orders with a client-centered approach. In addition to Dawn Maries family law cases, she meticulously handles cases involving DCS/CPS including CHINS actions, foster parent adoptions, change of placement objections, foster parent license revocation, administrative appeals, and expungements. Dawn Marie is a registered domestic mediator to assist families in determining their own outcomes to their divorce, paternity, child custody, and parenting time disputes. She also serves as a private and volunteer Guardian Ad Litem (GAL). Dawn Marie provides compassionate and rigorous legal services in criminal matters. She protects the rights of criminal defendants during initial charges and violations of probation or community corrections. Her criminal defense experience includes jury and bench trials, negotiating plea agreements and dismissals for cases including all felony and misdemeanor levels including theft, sex crimes, DUI/OVWI, and other charges. She has extensive experience working with clients to expunge criminal convictions and arrests. Dawn Marie believes in helping people and when not doing that through the practice of law, shes volunteering in the community. She has volunteered with WFYIs IRIS as a reader for the visually impaired reading program, Girls Inc. as a mentor, Big Brothers and Big Sisters as a mentor, and Child Advocates as a CASA.
