Roberto Cantu

Roberto Cantu is a partner in the Rio Grande Valley office of Resnick & Louis, P. C. He has an extensive history as a trial attorney all over south Texas. He has experience in automobile liability, bodily injury defense, premises liability, trucking and transportation, aviation, construction defect, design professionals, A&E, hospitality and retail defense, first party coverage, and SIU/EUOs. In his career he has tried over 35 cases to a verdict. He has excelled at strategic litigation to aggressively press cases to resolution in mediation or trial. Roberto received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1992. He obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 2003. During law school, Roberto competed in Mock Trial competitions and was Vice-President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. Prior to going to law school, Roberto was employed as an insurance claims representative. After law school, he was employed as in house counsel for an insurance company. Roberto is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas, United States Federal Court, Southern Texas Division, and United States District Court, Southern District of Texas.
