Karl started his legal career working at the law firm of Hand Muenich Wilk & Reid located in Highland, Indiana. His father and legal mentor, Albert C. Hand, was the founder of the law firm. For several years, Karl and his father worked together in civil practice, including insurance defense, personal injury, and business litigation. His father instilled in him the obligation of representing every clients concern or need with diligence and respect. For the last twelve (12) years, Karl has been a principal with the Law Office of Karl E. Hand, P. C. He continues to emphasize the practice area of civil litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants in serious personal injury and accident law, divorce and family law, estate planning, probate administration, business transactions and disputes, real estate law, and wrongful death. Since 2000, Karl and his family have resided in Schererville, Indiana where his wife and twin children are very active in the local school and sports communities.
