CurtisCounty. It was originally founded by Julius B. Curtis (1825-1906), who was admitted to the Bar in 1850, practiced in Greenwich for some fifteen years and then opened an office for the practice of law in Stamford in the year 1864. |His career included service as Judge of Probate for the Borough of Stamford, State Senator Louis J. Curtisand ex-officio member of the Corporation of Yale College. Judge Curtis was joined by his son, Louis J. Curtis (1868-1942), who after graduating from Yale College and New York Law School was admitted to the Bar in 1892, at which time the firm was renamed Curtis & Curtis. Louis J. Curtis served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Stamford, a representative in the state legislature, and one of the founders of The Fidelity Trust Company in 1919, and served in that capacity until the year 1940, at which time he became Chairman of the Board.|Curtis, Brinckerhoff & Barrett, P.C.
