Rocio Gosewehr Hernandez is a zealous and passionate advocate for individuals who have been harmed by the negligence of others. Originally from El Salvador, Rocios family moved to North Texas when she was three years old during the Civil War in El Salvador and eventually settled in Plano when she was a teenager where she graduated from Plano East Senior High in 2001. Having lived most of her life in North Texas, it is no surprise that she is passionate about serving the North Texas community. She then obtained her bachelors degree from Baylor University and briefly left the state to complete her law degree at Notre Dame Law School. During law school, Rocio competed in the Mock Trial Team and quickly developed her love for the courtroom. After graduation, Rocio returned to Texas to begin her career as a trial lawyer. She initially handled personal injury claims working for insurance companies such as GEICO, Progressive, and State Farm, but quickly realized that her skills and expertise would be put to better use in advocating on behalf of individuals suffering catastrophic injuries as a result of car wrecks, 18-wheeler collisions, and injuries suffered on the job. Rocio strives to be an advocate, encourager, helper, comforter, and counselor for personal injury victims while securing favorable and just outcomes through the claims and litigation process. Her passion and expertise set her apart from others in the personal injury field, and she fiercely fights for all her clients, finding creative solutions to problems and never backing down from a challenge. Rocio currently resides in Collin County with her husband and two children. Outside of the courtroom, Rocio is a community leader, a passionate advocate for others, and a devoted wife and mother. She is a member of Dallas Professional Women and volunteers for local organizations. Rocio also helped found Empower Women of Color North Texas, an organization that helps mobilize more female voters of color and helps women, particularly women of color, run for office. She also helps run attorney mom groups in Dallas and Collin County that help elevate and support moms in their attorney careers. As a long-time resident of North Texas, Rocio knows this community and is passionate about the people that live here. She actively works to make North Texas a great place for her children to grow up, and her love for this community is clear in all that she does professionally and personally.
