Harriet Isenberg

Harriet Isenberg, founding principal of Isenberg & Hewitt, passed away on January 3, 2024. As a native Atlantan, she grew up in Buckhead. In 1985, she was admitted to the Georgia Bar after attending Atlanta Law School at night while working full-time.Over the course of her adult life, Harriet worked in various fields including teaching, banking, real estate and law. She served as General Counsel for Globe Security and later co-founded Isenberg & Hewitt where she practiced with her then husband, Melvin L. Hewitt, Jr. and later her son Ryan Isenberg. She was a dedicated member of the Commercial Law League of America and played a pivotal role in shaping creditor's rights legislation in Georgia.Harriet’s dedication, expertise and leadership were instrumental in shaping our firm.
