Robert Horton, Partner Hello, I am Robert Horton, a personal injury attorney at Slater & Zurz, LLP. While my practice covers various personal injury cases, my primary focus is slip and falls, dog attacks, and motor vehicle accidents. With more than a decade of experience in advocating for the injured, I am deeply committed to championing the rights of those who have suffered due to the negligence of others. I completed my Bachelor of Arts from The University of Akron in 2002. Following this, I pursued my Juris Doctorate at The University of Akron School of Law, where I obtained the legal foundation that has supported my career. Since earning my law degree, I have divided my time between working with multiple law firms and serving as an employee of the National Interstate Insurance Company. I hold admission to practice in Ohio and am an active member of the Akron Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. One of the most satisfying achievements in my career was securing a substantial settlement for a client involved in a motor vehicle accident. Through skillful negotiation, I obtained a $675,000 settlement for a rear-ended client in a motor vehicle accident. This case was resolved through private mediation. Shortly thereafter, he began working for the law firm of Perantinides & Nolan, where he became more involved in personal injury work. He developed his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, motor vehicle accident, and general personal injury claims. In 2012, Rob left Perantindes & Nolan to work with Kisling, Nestico, & Redick, where he continued to expand his knowledge and experience in personal injury claims. After a number of years at the firm, he left to work for National Interstate Insurance Company, a major insurer of national commercial lines, such as trucking, bus, and fleet vehicle companies. His time and experience there offered insight to the world of commercial insurance claims. Rob is a member of the Akron and Ohio State Bar Associations. When he is not fighting for the rights of injured clients, he enjoys spending his time with his family, watching his children participate in their various sporting events, and cooking.
