After graduating from Wake Forest University in 1989, Mr. Reeves worked in operations at Barnett Bank Trust Company and the legal department of the Sheet Metal Workers National Pension Fund. After graduating from The Columbus School of Law in 1995, he practiced with a 3-attorney firm in St. Augustine, a 30-attorney firm in Sarasota, and a large national firm in Jacksonville before joining the Firm in 2000, becoming a Partner in 2005. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Reeves has represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil actions and arbitrations (including complex commercial matters, personal injury and wrongful death actions, class actions, and maritime matters). He has appeared in Floridas state and federal courts from Miami to Pensacola on claims ranging from thousands of dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars. He has represented individuals and multi-national corporations, on the basis of traditional hourly billing, contingency, pro bono and alternative fee arrangements. Mr. Reeves has demonstrated a proven ability to use technology to develop back-office tools, processes, and strategies for the efficient management of complex litigation involving tens of thousands of pages of documents and thousands of witnesses. Mr. Reeves is also active in the legal community. He is a past president of the Federal Bar Association-Jacksonville Chapter and past recipient of that groups annual Pro Bono award. In 2015, the Florida Supreme Court appointed Mr. Reeves to a five-year term on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners.
