I am from Hilsboro, Missouri, a small town about 30 minutes South of St. Louis. Growing up I was surrounded by a family of educators, but I always envisioned myself helping others in a different capacity. For this reason I chose to study law at the University of Missouri in Columbia. As a law student I became a member of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review, a journal published by law students, and I joined the legal fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. While in law school, I also was given the opportunity to be a clerk for a firm specializing in Criminal Defense and Traffic Law. This experience demonstrated to me how lawyers are able to help people who find themselves in difficult situations, and it was then that I knew this was the type of law I wanted to practice. Following law school, I moved to Kansas City to pursue my career as a Criminal Defense and Traffic attorney. Since then, I have become a member of the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. After being in practice for several years I am proud to say I still feel the same passion for helping people as I did the day I graduated law school. I believe no matter what you are charged with, you always deserve a fair trial, and I am dedicated to ensuring all of my clients receive justice.
