About
Stephen M. Vighi was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated in 1991 from Chaminade College Preparatory High School. After high school Mr. Vighi graduated in 1995 from Washington University in St. Louis where he majored in Political Science and History. He then attended St. Louis University Law School and graduated in 1998. Mr. Vighi began his work in Jefferson County as a Public Defender where he worked from 2001 to 2004. Mr. Vighi has been a proud resident of Jefferson County since 2003 where he lives with his wife, Kerry, and his two young children. Since joining the Thurman Law Firm in 2004 Mr. Vighi has an active trial practice in criminal defense and family law. He has continually been in front of juries for serious A and B Class Felonies. Mr. Vighi has represented thousands of clients in all types of criminal matters, taking many to trial, including, major felonies such as Robberies, Burglaries, Assaults, Weapons Offenses, Drug Manufacturing and Drug Possession cases. He aggressively defends DWI charges. Mr. Vighi has developed a large amount of trial experience in not only Criminal matters but also in assisting clientele in civil matters. Mr. Vighi represents clients in family law matters including dissolutions, modifications, paternity actions and parental right issues. He has both prosecuted and defended ex-parte Adult Abuse Orders and Child Protection orders. For the past almost 20 years Mr. Vighi has been a constant fixture in the Jefferson County Courthouse aggressively pursuing the interest of his clients. Mr. Vighi is also the Prosecutor for the City of Crystal City. Mr. Vighi is a member of the Jefferson County Bar Association and belongs to several local associations.
