Jared M. Scott Jared M. Scott is a third-generation attorney and partner at Scott & Scott, P. C., following grandfather, Robert F. Scott, uncle, R. Stephen Scott and father, Gregory A. Scott. Jared is an experienced trial lawyer who has practiced in Chicago and Springfield, IL since 2001. Throughout his career, Jared has achieved successful results for his clients through trial, mediation, arbitration, and settlement. He has an extensive litigation background, representing a wide variety of clients from large corporations to minor children; achieving successful results for clients at all levels. No matter the size of the case or client, he understands they are equally important. Jared places a high priority on client communication and being available for his clients. Jareds primary practice area is family law, including dissolution of marriage, parentage actions, adoptions, guardianships, marital property division, child support, and maintenance. Jared is a certified mediator and arbitrator for family law, personal injury, and general litigation matters and regularly serves as a childrens representative and guardian ad litem. His practice areas also include personal injury, wrongful death, orders of protection, human rights, estate planning, and general litigation. Prior to joining Scott & Scott, P. C., Jared litigated cases for clients including hospitals, physicians, home health providers, hotels, auto-parts stores, product manufacturers, and companies in toxic tort litigation with the law firm of Johnson & Bell, Ltd. In Chicago. He also worked as a prosecutor for the City of Chicagos Traffic Division. Jared received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1998 and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 2001. He is admitted to the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
