Janis P. Leacock

Janis Leacock Managing Attorney Janis Leacock, a graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, provides over a decade of legal experience. Mrs. Leacock has dedicated her practice to helping those who need a voice. She is a dedicated advocate and fights for her clients rights. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and comes from a family of immigrants. Her parents immigrated from Jamaica and South America to Canada and later to the United States. Mrs. Leacock graduated from Andrews University, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, with a B. A. in Journalism and Communications. Subsequently, she attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctorate and is licensed to practice law in Texas. Prior to law school, Mrs. Leacock worked for the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board. This experience gave her plenty of insight into the legal world. While in law school, Mrs. Leacock worked at The Harris County District Attorneys Office, as well as the The Indiana Attorney Generals Office. After graduating, Mrs. Leacock worked for the Harris County Civil Court in the 165th District Court. Since then Mrs. Leacock has built a thriving and successful practice representing countless individuals throughout the state of Texas. She has experience representing clients in immigration matters and family law matters. Mrs. Leacock has represented her clients in deportation cases, adjustment of status, bond hearings, deferred action, work authorization, divorces, custody disputes, adoptions, names changes and much more.
