About
Sam Mormino has been an attorney associated with this firm and its predecessor, the Wiseman Law Firm, since he entered law school in 1985 and graduated in 1987. Over that period, he devoted his practice to representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, workers compensation claims, and various civil litigation matters. He was born and raised in Alton, Illinois, and one of seven children. His father, Sam, Sr., was a machinist at Owens-Illinois Machine Shop in Godfrey, and his mother worked for Illinois Bell, having started as a telephone operator. Sam spent his childhood under the shadows of the smokestacks of Laclede Steel on the east side of Alton. He attended Alton High School and graduated in 1980. After graduating, he went to the University of Missouri Columbia, earning a double major in economics and political science. After graduation, he followed his childhood dream to become a lawyer and attended Southern Illinois University, where he received his law degree in 1987, Magna Cum Laude. During his time in law school, he was a member of the National Moot Court Team, which participated in national competitions in Minneapolis and New York.
