Michael Regan

Michael P. Regan, Jr. is from Danville, Virginia. He earned his bachelors degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000 and his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2005. He started his career in litigation in 2006 when he went to work as an Assistant Public Defender in Jacksonville, Florida where he gained valuable trial experience and handled mostly felony cases. He joined the OHara Law Firm, PA as an associate in 2009. In 2014, he was promoted to partner and in 2019, he became a shareholder. Over the years, Mike has been active in the legal community, serving as an officer of the Jacksonville Defense Lawyers Association from 2015 to 2017 as Secretary, Vice President and President. He currently serves on the Florida Bar Attorney Grievance Committee after beginning his appointment in October 2022. Mike is an experienced civil trial lawyer and was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2021. In June 2022, he earned board certification in civil trial law by the Florida Bar. He is also approved by the State of Florida as a continuing education (CE) instructor for insurance professionals. Mike has taught several CE courses over the last few years, including the 5-hour Law and Ethics Update course which must be completed by all Florida insurance licensees.
