About
Caroline Gurney Caroline Gurney entered private practice in 2015 after graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law. Caroline began her legal career as an insurance defense attorney, and then worked for several years representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases. Prior to joining the firm, she successfully represented clients in cases involving insurance coverage disputes, motor vehicle crashes, premises liability claims, nursing home negligence, and medical malpractice. In addition, Caroline has served as first chair counsel in jury trials and bench trials in both Kansas and Missouri, and she has argued cases in front of the Kansas Court of Appeals. She is admitted to practice in the state court of Kansas, state court of Missouri, the United States Court for the District of Kansas, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. She has presented continuing legal education seminars on various topics, including jury selection strategies and implicit bias. Caroline is an active member of the Johnson County Bar Association and the Earl E. OConnor Inn of Court. Prior to law school, she completed a year of volunteer service with Ameri Corps. Caroline grew up in the Kansas City area, and she graduated from Knox College with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2011.
