Katherine Mary Smith

Ms. Smith received her Juris Doctorate from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 2005, here in St. Louis, where she has since focused her practice in the area of Insurance Defense in both Missouri and Illinois. From personal auto lines to common carriers, homeowners to commercial, construction to products liability, she has extensive experience in defending and litigating both first and third party insurance matters—with a special focus on claims involving issues of bad faith refusal and vexatious refusal. In addition, Ms. Smith serves as coverage counsel for several national insurance companies, assisting them in the enforcement of their policies, navigating them through the often complex landscape of Insurance Law. Ms. Smith handles each of her claims, personally, from inception to conclusion and has tried many cases in both state and federal court in both Missouri and Illinois with remarkable success for her clients.
