He has served as both an officer and director for a number of community and not-for-profit organizations in Northeast Missouri including being an officer and director of Truman State University (Chairman), Hannibal Chamber of Commerce, Hannibal Arts Council (President), St. Elizabeth Advisory Board, Hannibal Country Club (President), Hannibal Public Library (President), Mark Twain Home Board (President) and The Tenth Judicial Circuit Bar Association (President).
